Member 8279900 26-Sep-Sep-12 23:18First, thanks for such a well-executed and well documented library! So, quick and easy to use!I would like to use a DispatcherTimer as part of an auto-save feature in the VM of an MVVM application that uses your Magellan.Framework.ViewModel, but find that the tick event never fires, and so (I think) I need to provide a specific Dispatcher, but can't find a way to get one (i.e.

This.Dispatcher is a Magellan type and not cast-able to a System.Windows.Threading.Dispatcher.Unless I am missing something.? Or, would you simply recommend using your ScheduleRecurring method? Many thanksJames.

Nzdunic 2-Nov-10 14:492-Nov-10 14:49Hi Paul,I remember working with you at Towers Perrin. Very impressed and learned a heap from you.On my current project I have issues of managing authorisation to actions. I thought of similar things to you but not in this more cohrent way. I've not used ASP.Net MVC so it's great you have and leveraged that idea as well - it makes sense.I'll look into it some more - we have a much simpler way to handle it - but this seems to cover all the OO and general Software Development concerns in very well rounded way.Thanks,Nick. Spring Months

I'm new to ASP.NET MVC, still learning. But, this seems to be the first framework I've seen that would facilitate putting multiple UI front ends on a common Model back-end. Even if that is not, it would facilitate a common architecture for a variety of application types.I can hardly wait to use this in my next Windows App. Sacha Barber 9-Sep-10 3:019-Sep-10 3:01PaulJust found time to read this properly, have a few questions1. How did you get Zone/Field etc etc to appear as if they were native controls, with no need for Magellan namespace prefix2. You say when you use Field and specify For, Magellan will determine input type, such as TextBox etc etc, what if I wanted a Readonly TextBox under certain situations.

And what if I wanted to restyle the TextBoxs Magellan emmitted3. With your VisualStudio template, did you use the Export Template Wizard, and if so, how did you get your template to know that Magellan.Dll needed downloading before you could build.Anyway great job, just needed to ask these couple of questions.

Hi Sacha,Re: 1I use the same technique the 3 WPF assemblies use: 2Those are just the out of the box convention - it's quite likely you'd provide your own through:you wanted to restyle them, you can create your own Style for the Field controls, or set a Style when you convention appliesRe: 3I did use the Export Template wizard, then I packaged it into a VSIX:the Magellan DLL, I purposefully don't include it in the template. When you create the project, a HTML page gives you instructions on how to download and reference the DLL. That allows me to release new binaries as often as necessary, and not have to change the project template too much, and avoid any GAC/deployment issues.
